ive been using the progran xmpeg and it seems to crash five minuites into my conversion every time is this a problem with xmpeg or just me i dont know what to do

Try using Gordian Knot, available here and at doom9.net
Uncas has an excelent Guide for using it posted up at the top of this forum. make sure you have installed divx 5.2

has anyone here had actual success in making divx movies or using the gordons not program i am currently trying it i was just wondering

Gordian Knot is considered the best encoding tool for divx out there. It's a bit daunting at first, but taking the time to learn it will be more then worth it in the long run.
