divx plays fine...but no sound

well i got some divx movies, and they play with really nice video quality but the sound wont play...

ive tried installing ac3 codecs, the nimo pack, a whole bunch of stuff. in virtual dub for the sound compression it says unknown (tag 2000) and it also says its 2 channels, so i dont think its ac3

under audio | compression in virtual dub, i dont have any divx codec installed, but im SURE that ive installed them, ive installed divx 5.02 pro and divx3.11a and tried them both at least 3 times each...ive hit a wall heh, can anyone help?

tag2000 defines the ac3 codec

thus you have NOT properly installed/registered the ac3 codecs!

try this file: ac3 filter (http://www.atlandide.net/~uncasms/ac3.zip)

copy the two *.ax files to c:\windows\system\
and run the cmd or bat
