Cant even get started with XMPEG!

My problem is this, I downloaded XMPEG, and DVD Mism like the site told me to. I've ripped the dvd to the hard drive, but when I try opening it in XMPEG, it doesnt prompt and say that it's checking the file, so obviously the editing window doesnt pop up either.

Any ideas? I select the DVD Mism option in the 'Files of Type' box, but I'm getting nothing. I'm running Win XP Professional.:smashead:
