extract ac3 from avi?

i just want to extract the ac3 from an avi to convert it ...that's all

but i have some probs. to do it so pliz some help should be welcome

If you're certain that you have a .AVI file with .AC3 sound, you should be able to load it under the VirtualDub version that's been modified to handle .AC3 sound and then save the sound as a .WAV file.

Alternatively, you can load the file under TMPGEnc v.1.2xx, by selecting "MPEG Tools" from the "File" dropdown. Select "DeMultiplex". Change the extender option to "All" (by clicking on the arrow to the right of the box). Load your file. Double-click on the .AC3 file.
