Divx is a totally different encoding process than DVDs (mpg). As such, simply burning a Divx movie to a DVD will not allow playback on a DVD player. You would be able to burn a Divx movie to a data dvd-r and play it back as a file on any pc with divx encoder/decoder/player installed. I am not aware of any programs that convert divx format to dvd but I would imagine that image quality would suffer heavily anyways. The main thing with dvd copying is that you want to keep as much of the dvd quality as possible. With that in mind, I would recommend going through standard dvd copying procedures to copy any dvds you are wanting. Hope this helps.
