Problem playing divx file

I downloaded this movie file and when I try to play it in windows media player i get sound but no video. When I try to play it in Divx Player 2, I get an error message Failed to open file.

I loaded the file into virtual dub and it has the same information as my other movie files that play fine with both players. I am able to play the file in virtual dub but I'm unable to play it in any of the players.

I have a couple of divx movies and they all work fine, and they show the same information in virtual dub as the file that is giving me problems. Anyone know what the problem is ?

Reinstall the DivX 3.11 codec.

I already did, same thing is happening.

Load the file into VirtualDub
Set BOTH "VIDEO" and "AUDIO" to "Direct Stream Copy"
Save with a new filename

I did what you said and the new file does exactly the same thing

Install the DivX 5.02 codec, which will automatically take over 3.11 content playback. Make sure you are not using the Tsunami patched version.
