Hope This is the right forum..

I'm Trying to Frameserving with FlasKMpeg to Virtual Dub.

I've ripped my DVD to my HD and Follow the guide in here:
http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/frameserve-flask.htm

Anyway, when I get to the level of opening the AVS File
in Virtual Dub (after I got Frame serve from Flask) - I get this Error:

"AviSinyth Open Failure:
Script Error: There is no function named "IPCSource"

Why am I get This Error and how to solve it?

Thanks.

Frameserving with Flask is a bad idea. It's much like trying to record using a cassette tape. You have to "rewind" Flask when starting over. Not to mention that the recent versions of Avisynth don't seem to work with Flask's frameserver.

You will get better results frameserving from DVD2AVI and using GordianKnot to automate most of the mundane tasks for you.

best to use, I just though that frameserving from flask will be faster and easy.
I've tried DVD2AVI and now it's works.

Thanks.

Say, What do you think about making an MP3 VBR sound with
razorlame (using --alt) and multiplex it with the video from DVD2AVI in virtual Dub ?

You're welcome.

Great idea. I personally use the --alt-preset standard for my MP3s and mux it in nandub (which natively supports VBR MP3 and hence does not complain about it).
