Blue & Red Dots!!

When I play a DivX movie random Blue and Red dots appear in the darker sections of the movie ex. ( Lord of the Rings the intro is filled with Blue & Red dots). I've tried to remove all codec's and installing them again, I've tried all combinations with codec's (one at the time) but the damn dot's keeps coming ... Can anyone help me with this ?: confused:

Can you post a screenshot of it?

p.s. Just a thought. Perhaps you are running the desktop at 16-bit colour or lower?
