Does the quality of my movie get badder if I convert my movie when i play CS???

Hello!
I got a question.When I convert a AVI movie with TMPGEnc to mpg then does the quality of the movie get badder then if I didn´t play games like Counterstrike?Example does my movie freeze and other bad stuff when I use my computer to do other things?

And one question more.I had download Blade 2 with a swedish subtitle in mpg format with kazaa and when I play it on my computer then all things is fine.The movie is in mpg so I just burn it on vcd but when I play it on my dvd then the movie freezes and I see no subtitle.That´s strange because the subtitle is IN THE MOVIE.SOMEBODY PLEASE tell me what I can do to solve this problem.I also got a DVD in my computer and when I play it on that DVD then I see subtitle and no freeze.

But why does my vcd freeze and I ain´t seeing subtitles at all in my DVD.But I have also tried to see the vcd in my computer and then I can see with subtitle and no freezes.

Summin's Defiannitly wrong with you'r mpg vid file lol. Or it might be VCD 2.0 . I heard it can choose subtitles to your choice unlike the old vcds.
