I have a V7100 (Deluxe Combo) and I'm embarrassed to say, I've never been able to figure out how to get any output to my TV or VCR. I've read the docs from cover to cover many times. The cabling seems simple enough, but I just haven't been able to activate the software. I'm in the U.S. and have an older T.V. with only a 75 ohm IN (no audio/video Ins/Outs). I run my cable TV through my VCR to the T.V. . The VCR DOES have Video/Audio Ins/Outs.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

What in/out connections are on the card?

Setarip,

Does your VCR have an "AUX" channel for Line Input. On my JVC VHS, I have to use channel F-1, inorder to view my Line In. I don't know about your V7100, but on my All in Wonder128, I activate TV Out from the ATI Control Panel in Advanced Display Properties.

No, there is no AUX in on the VCR. I've explored all possibilities regarding both the video card's control panel and the Windows control panel.

If there's someone out there with SPECIFIC V7100-related knowledge, I'd most certainly appreciate your insight...

by Aux channel, I was refering to the tuner channel, not an physical Aux connection.

setarip,

I got my V7100's TV out working in two different ways:
*
If you have the "old" driver (the one that comes with the card) you can get TV out to work by connecting your TV (or VCR) to the TV-out, disconnecting your VGA screen and re-boot your PC.
*
The (more elegant) way is to download the newest drivers from Asus (I'm running Windows XP, the Asus driver for the V7100 for XP is still a beta version..) and install them. Then you can activate your TV out by going to Display Properties - Advanced. There should be a TwinView tab in that menu. There you can select the various modes (Standard (VGA only), Clone, horizontal and vertical span (a.k.a. DualHead)).
*
Good Luck !! :)

I'm running Win98. The ASUS driver I've got installed is v.6.31B. Are you aware of a more recent version for Win98?

By the way, thank you for posting specific V7100-related information ;>}

have a look at http://www.asus.com.tw/download/multimedia/beta-Enthu.htm
That's where all the new (beta) drivers are located. Latest version is 14.62a
