xvid->SVCD with TMPGenc

I've convered many things to VCD before, and this time I got a xvid file and want to try to convert to SVCD to watch in my DVD player which supports SVCD. Questions I have-

My TMPGenc froze right after I hit the "start" button, (extracted audio with virtual dub), I tried a simple method by altering some environmental settigns per some nice guy's suggestion on this board, and it seems to work (at least it is converted), now i have to burn it.

How do you know whether it is being converted to mpeg1 (VCD) or mpeg2 SVCD ?? I don't ever remember this was being asked during the encoding????

This is selected either if you load a template or using the project wizard.

If you haven't altered the resolution settings, I believe this can be determined here :

VCD :
PAL - 352x288
NTSC - 352x240

SVCD :
PAL - 480x576
NTSC - 480x480

Thank you, that's right, I totally forgot, i'm so used to picking vcd...
