Hi,
I still wonder:
I just made an AVI from a DVD. It worked but the aspect ratio is wrong (too flat). I can correct it when using DivX Player with a custom aspect ratio of 1 to 1, but then there are horizontal AND vertical black bands, so I cannot have it on full screen. How can I force the output to look correct?

Thanks
Marc

no problem and thanks for your help anyway. If it can help, I understand many European languages.

In the meantime, I found how to correct the aspect ratio in DVDx, but the feature is limited and I cannot access the CROP item in the Settings menu. Anyone knows why?

well, u can take a look at my DVDx guide (not that i'm saying it's great), I have got soooo many emails everyday with DVDx problems, and frankly, it's not worth it. sure, the features are great but alot of problems and complications.

If you want more quality, less time in encoding and a bit more "professional" and a few more features, I recommend using TMPGEnc (www.tmpgenc.net)

it really is worth it, give it a shot and see what you think.

Other than that, I really don't know about this problem since i never heard of it before, and never experienced the problem :)

Just trying to save some of your time and produce more quality, than poorness! :)
