my process is to rip a dvd-9, re-encode to fit on a single dvdr. ive done this mulitple times before, but on a few dvds ive gotten recently, im having some troubles.

when i try to import the chapter list made in chapter extractor, i get the following error.

"I-Frame insertion entry frame rate is not consistant with the current tape frame rate! I-Frame import will be canceled"

it seems ive been working with two types of video file,,, one is "29.97 FPS" and the other is "29.97 FPS Drop" i think this may be my problem.

if anyone can help me clear this problem up, it would be greatly appreciated, and a paypal donation will be made to you.

thanks in advance.

Have you tried using other progs to export the chapters?
Try DVD Decrypter which has chapter list export for DVDMaestro and others...

ive done that, ive also used smart rippper.

i check the video types, and the types that ARE NOT working are the ones that say they are 29.97 FSP Drop.. whatever DROP means, that is the only change between working and non working videos.. thx

i fixed it... there are two types of frame rate. standard. and drop frame. drop frame has something to do with subtitles,, so, i download pulldown.exe form www.doom9.org and remove the -drop_frame flag from the .n2v files. fixed. done. woo hoo!
