What is the stard output size of lets say a 98 min movie to DVIX?
Also, is it possible to put a divx on a svcd (useing tmpge) so it can be played on a dvd player?
thanks

Im guessing you mean a divx from svcd, and the answer to that would be it would depend on the bitrate that you use for the video. the default in tmpgenc for svcd's is 2520kbps, which is also the max for svcd's. Anything higher and it becomes and xsvcd. At 2520 video bitrate for a 98 minute video, the size should be about 2gigs (2048 mb's).

Yes, just choose the "super video-cd" template in tmpgenc. But first you must know if your dvd player will read svcd's.

There are far too many variables involved to speak of a (I presume you meant) "standard" output size. Video - bitrate, resolution, codec, amount of action, amount of color. Audio - sampling frequency, codec, sampling bitrate.

Funny, I thought you already knew the answer to this (based on your other postings) - Yes, but the success of playback depends upon your specific brand/model of standalone DVD player - as to whether it recognizes SVCD format, whether it recognizes burned CD-Rs (as opposed to commercial pressed CDs) and, whether it recognizes the specific brand of CD-R.
