Audio Problems

ok guys i have a big problem: i have a divx file but i can only view it, the video works (and it has a really good quality) but i can't hear sound, if i rightclick/proprieties on the avi file it says Audio Format Unknown

i tried with Divx 3.11 Alpha, Divx 5.0.3 and XviD codecs but i can't get it working

there's another "little" problem when i try to install something, and tsunami too, it says
Error Number....
Description: RCP Stub version not compatible, setup will terminate now.

Though i can install things with zip self extractor or things like Divx, so there is anyway i can get an AC3 codec without formatting the hard disk? thanks

Do a Google search for "AC3 codec", or for "AC3 filter"...
