i have just purchased a Pioneer 105, using smartripper can anyone tell me exactly what file s i need to rip. When using nero it creates video and audio what is the process then for burning.
Any help and advice would be gratefull.

Use the Backup method in SmartRipper.
If the total is too large you can use progs like IfoEdit to strip
the audio, sub tracks you wish to exclude.

I also read people would recommend DVD2One,but I personally haven't tried it.

If the files are larger than 4.37 gb as gs0666 suggested you can "strip out" non-essential components such as foreign language tracks, extras, menues, etc...

Alternatively, you can re-encode the video to a lower bitrate to fit on a single layer dvd. If quality is your main concern, and time is of little consequence, an encoder such as TMPGEnc or CCE (expensive) will allow you to obtain fairly good quality.

As gs0666 stated DVD2ONE is a fast encoder (15 minutes-1 hr to re-encode video). Instant Copy, from Pinnacle is out it takes longer to re-encode video but the quality is supposedly better than DVD2ONE's. Search the doom9.org forums for user comments and reviews on these softwares.

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I have instant copy but there seems to be issues with copyright protected DVD,s. They dont seems to work. Am i doing something wrong or is a workaround available.
