hi,

Virtualdub (http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html)

To get rid of 12 MB cutting end credits should be enough, other options include reencodeing audio at a slightly lower bitrate.

Just click on the words "VirtualDub" in khp's post and you'll find the program that you need to cut off the credits (It can do many other things too)...

Take a look at doom9's page.

avichop works for avi's with MP3 sound.

I have yet to find a way to strip MP3 files and
re-synch them with an other encoding.

Nero lets you overburn, doens't it?
In any case NTI CD-Maker will let you.

Pog your question was answered by the very first reply to your post. The credits will be about 25Mb out of the 712 of which you can easily chop off the last half (leaving the cast-list) and your movie will fit easily onto a 700Mb CD.

nero 5 lets me overburn very fine!

got to:

file => preferences/settings [whatever it is called in your version] => expert settings

and set it to approx 80 min

this function heavily depends on your writer and the cd-r brand

good luck

Only thing is, your drive needs to support them as well, which a few don't.
