Hi,
I ripped a DVD with smart ripper and I got 4 *.vob -files as the result...
But i want only one file containing the whole DVD...
Itīs just taking too much time to convert every single file!
thx

since it doesnt make a difference at all if you're converting 4 vobs files of 1 gb or 1 vob of 4gb in size, you seem to be in need of some basic knowledge of how to go about the whole encoding procedure.
take a look at the url's posted in the GENERAL section

Well u got me wrong...:)
I wanted to say that I have to convert one *.vob file after the other manually because the "job-function" in flaskMpeg doesnīt work right...
When the first vob-file is done I have to manually configure the second file and flask it, then the third file, and the fourth file....
Thatīs what I meant with "itīs taking longer"....!!!
Now my Question is, if it is possible to rip the whole DVD into a single file, so that I can put this sinlge file into the job-section of flaskMpeg and convert it....(the whole movie at once)
The other advantage of converting the whole movie at once would be that I donīt need to join all the four files to a single one...

I.e. "CM's Digital Video Tool" can join the vobs after u ripped them to the hdd. But remeber that most operating systems and programms can't use files bigger than 1, 2 or 4 GB.
Better give DVD2AVI plus Nandub a try. That programms will convert the whole DVD at once.

i wouldnt recommend flask, but a plug-in like THUNDER-MSIM should do the job of converting all vobs one after another.
if i were you, i'd learn to handle tools like nandub or gordianknot.
their quality is unbeaten and they are nOT as hard to handle as some people might think!

If you look on the settings of Smartripper, one setting is dedicated to the VOB files, choose the first option, break VOB file by size and then set the size to few gigs. That is what I do and I get the whole movie in one VOB file.
Hope this helps.

take care, however, your os supports files of that size

I don't know what release of Flask you use, but normally Flask works perfectly well with job files  : In the menu File / Open DVD file you just specify the HD IFO file and then it goes... taking automaticaly one vob file after the other. (Flask 0.594).

due to legal issues, .06 does not support opening ifo files!
thus a plugin must be used or a modified version.
