VFAPI codec problem

Hello..
i am using DVD2AVI to create a project.
After i have created a d2v file, i try to convert it to the avi via VFAPIcodec.
It turns out that i cannot open the d2v file in VFAPI. It seems that the VFAPI programme cannot recognize d2v files as well since i have to type the file name in.

I install the VFAPI programme by just double clicking the vfapiset.bat. After that, a dos like windows pop up for a while. Did i miss any steps?

Try to change your DVD2AVI version
I remember some .d2v file created by different DVD2AVI,such as version 1.76,1.77 will cause such problem
