There are two different versions for de XviD codec to download....which one is better ? Nic's or Koepi's ??
Please post your opinions.....Thanxs a lot.....

it is not only two
there's also a version from umaniac
and those ppl have more than one version released

I use Koepi's version simply because it is updated more regularly and most recent developments are implemented into them.

i have also found that simply downloading all of them works as well simply install the ones you need at each time of need and then uninstall them when done. you can never go wrong if you keep a burned cd handy with all of the codecs you can get on it and keep them all up to date. of course the bad thing is that i reburn a new cd every week but i always have a back up this way and i keep up with almost every codec.

That is exactly what I do besides I use a CD-RW so I dont have to use a number of CD's. I figured I would save about 27 cents by doing that

oh i do use a cd rw it is just the anoyance of redoing it every week that is a pain but for top quality vids i really dont care other than when i am at work i am in fromt of my machines. i have no other life but this

Koepi's is the way to go I have never had a problem with it and he does updated regularly
