how to mux ac3 & mv2 into vobs?

Can some one please tell me how to multiplez ac3 and mv2 streams into vobs?

I have encoded some video using bbMPEG, and audio (Dolby digital) using Sonic Soft Encode,
but now I cannot use it...

Roxio VideoPack 5 does not support ac3 streams, but it is happy to use VOBS with them (I tried the vob I ripped off 3 tennors DVD)

Any pointer is appriciated!!

Use TMPGEnc (make sure you've installed the companion VFAPI plugin). From the "Files" dropdown menu, select "Multiplex". Set the mode to "MPEG2-VBR". Add your silent video file and your .AC3 file. Save with a .VOB extension.

My trial period of TMPEnc has run out, and I have no idea how to reset it.

but for future reference,
just renaming multiplexed ac3 and m2v streams from .mpeg into .vob makes them compatable?

No, it's not that changing the extender makes it compatible. rather, it's the fact that a .VOB file IS comprised of multiplexed M2V (MPEG2 videostream) and .AC3 audio files ;>}

Now you can use the wonderful software TMPGEnc without MPEG-2 function 30
days restrictions.

Please be careful when editing the Windows registry - a damaged registry
means that Windows will not boot.

Do the following:

Now, try to open TMPGEnc and just click on Help/About.
It will appear this message: "You can use MPEG-2 funcion as trial for more

I have done what you said about multiplexing and renaming to a vob extension, and it plays in Power DVD, but how do you author this to go onto a DVD-R, is there away to make an IFO fle for the vob?

Hey real interested to know if you guys managed to get this working because I have DivX 5 encoded AVI's from premiere that I want to burn onto a DVD and watch.

Use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" v.1.5.11.37 (a different program than "TMPGEnc) to easily create the required additional DVD files and structure (and chapters and a menu, if you wish). If your O/S is either Win2000 or WinXP, TMPGEnc DVD Author can also burn your DVD. Otherwise, use NERO to burn in "DVD-Video" mode

(Note: If the "package" of DVD files exceeds 4.37Gb, use DVD Shrink to compress before burning with NERO)

One thing aswell I wanted to make chapter menus
Like on a DVD you get the Menu screen and then it lets you click to a new screen that has chapters etc.

ULead DVD workshop only lets you get to one menu screen and then the DVD plays.

I assume that I have to set marker points during the movie in order to create chapters out of them but I wonder how that's not going to make the movie have pauses as it swaps chapters during playback.

You will have to encode your avi as a mpg2 file I'm afraid. No way around it if Dvd is the desired output. btw you can get away with just the video if you audios is wav, ac3 or mp2. If not then you must also convert that.:P
