VirtualDub error message

i got this message while in the middle of encoding. this happens all the time heres the message:

Error decompressing video frame 12882:

An unknown error occurred (may be corrupt data).
(error code -100)

There may be a problem in your vob file (it happened to me once).
What you can do is try to modify your avs file in order to skip the frame which as the problem :
- First note the total number of frames virtual dub is trying to encode (you can see it in the virtual dub status window : Current video frame xx/YYY - YYY is the value).
- Then open your .avs file and uncomment the trim(startframe,endframe) line.
- Change it also to trim(12883,YYY)
- Check if virtual dub can encode this part of the movie. If not change to trim(12884,YYY) and so on....

Then, when it will have been sucessfull, concatenate the beginning and the end of the movie.

Be careful when you'll mux the audio, 'cause you'll have a "hole" in the video. If it is too important, you'll have to correct the audio accordingly...

putting 2 or more segments together, end to end, makeing one larger segment.

Remove the # at the begining of the line.

joining 2 segments:
open the first part in virtualdub, set video and audio to 'direct stream copy' select file->'append avi segment', select the second part, and save under a new file name.

uncummenting trim in avs:
After rereading the thread I suspect that you aren't using an avs script, which makes this rather irrelevant.
To preform segmented encoding in virtualdub, just load the source file into virtualdub, setup the encoding, and set begin and end points, using the 'mark in/out' buttons at the bottom of the virtualdub window.
