Hitachi unveils universal DVD recorder :
Hitachi LG Data Storage have announced that they will be shipping a DVD recorder that can read and record every DVD format.
Today's multi-format drives, such as the Sony DRU-500AX, support DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD+RW. The Hitachi machine includes these, but adds support for the final format: DVD-RAM.
