Hi all, anyone know how to rotate AVI or MPG file? Thanks mate.:smashead:

(I assume you mean rotate 90 degrees)

.AVIs can be rotated using one of the built-in filters in VirtualDub...

I tried rotating an avi I had that was about 12 Megs. The resulting file was 213 megs! Did I do something wrong?

Yes - You created an UNcompressed video (Default in VirtualDub). You have to select and configure a video codec from the "Video" dropdown menu (Preferably the same codec and compression taht was used to create the original)

ok, that makes sense. After doing a little research, I figured out that my camera is using the m-jpeg codec. This doesn't seem to be available in VirtualDub, unless it's going by another name.

its probably using the mpeg codec. not m-jpeg.
