I am trying to burn VOB files on to a dvdr that will play on my standalone dvd player. I was told to lower the size to delete menus and WIDescreen presentations etc. ThenIt said be sure to repoint your IFO file via IFO editor. I have IFO Editor, but what does it mean to repoint? How do I do it?

go into ifo editor select your ifo files from the open menu and then hit get vts sectors and recalculate, then save as a BUP file and delete the orignal bu file with the same name

okay bups are backups for the ifos u want the ifo to mess up so that the dvd player will look at the bup that u have set up.

When ripping your files you have to remap the audio stream you want to keep to 0x80 id. To do this use eitehr Smartripper in Movie mode or Vobrator.

If you want to play a >4.7GB original DVD on standalone player, you have to demux vob files, lower the bitrate, remux it and burn.

Currently i still need info about using IFOedit to know if it will parse correct ifo and bub files if the number of vob files changes (i merged all vob files, cause NO demuxer are able to handle vts_01_2.vob to vtx_01_x.vob ...)
