divfix make divx obsolete?

I have a movie that errors in it and glitchy in one area, so I run it through DivFix. the movie wont play on the good computer it says: out of memory in WMP classic. all other players wont play it. on my old computer I can load it but it cand get the right filter. it was working and playable before this, but glitchy. what now should I do?

Make another backup copy from the unaltered original - and load the backup copy into VirtualDubMod and scan for errors. Then save with a new filename...
