New to This stuff

Ok, like it says, I am new to this stuff, First thing, HOW in the world do i install this XviD codec onto my computer? i Downloaded it, checked through all the files once unzipped, found no .exe or a .dll to install to WMP, and, these sites, i havent found one yet that says anything about how to install it, what about us stupid people? "ok, just install this here and that there, but of course we know how and you should too, so we wont tell you how" Even on XviD's homepage they have nothing that tells how to install their codec.
