How do I decode XVID to AVI/MPEG ??

Am trying to convert an XVID file to MPEG1 ???

1. Install the XviD codec (http://www.roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml)

2. Load up the XviD-compressed AVI file into TMPGEnc.

3. Configure and start conversion.

The video plays fine but I keep getting 'cannot open or unsupported' all the time.

When I then close TMPGenc I get the following msg:

EAccessViolation caused at 00033AED of module ntdll.dll.
Write error occurred at address 77F83AED of module ntdll.dll with 00000000

???????

Also, using AVI2MPEG2 I get the error

'could not open getframe'
compressor=XVID

are you sure to have the xvid codec installed as suggested?

i get that same message and im sure i installed it right... all the other xvids that i try to encode work fine except for the exception of this one that im tying to figure out... hmmm
