xvid movies playing slow motion

hi all,im having playback problems.when i play any xvid movie,it plays in slow motion.i have tried this with alot of movies and its still the same.i have tried alot of codecs and its still the same.I have also played them in windows media player,windows media player v6.4,bs player and divx player and the movies are still playing in slow motion.somebody please help me.

Try using FFDShow as an alternative decoder.

Remember to configure it to handle XviD contents as well as enable its post-processing settings.

ok,i have just finished doing that and now the movie doesnt even play on the movie player. plz help

This may sound dumb but try increasing the playback rate using another movie player
