Converting with Gordian Knot

Hi,

I have a problem when encoding with GK.

I start GK, I rip the DVD (and I can read it very well from my HDD) but when I encode the movie to DivX (5.02-5.05) with AC3 sound or MP3 I get a movie that works fine with one problem: for fast moving objects I get a lot of small lines around the borders (around the objects).

Does anyone has any ideea about this?

Those are interlacing artifacts you are encountering. Perform Deinterlace or Inverse Telecine (for originally-FILM materials only) prior to compressing the video.
