Hi!
I'll be the first to say that I'm an anime junkie ;)
I've been trying to encode Evangelion to Xvid...
I tried getting the Xvid Codec, but all I can find is the source code. How do I setup the codec so that it will appear in my list of codecs for FlasK MPEG?

Thanks :D

On a side note, good luck encoding Eva, the crappiest source ever made.

You might want to wait until they're re-released :)

The Evangelion series is not that bad. I have had other 'noisier' sources to deal with...

using flaskmpeg for encoding from a source on hard disk might
be nice....
but since you encode with a DVD as a source I recommend
DVDx. In this case the nimo codec pack will provide you with
the neede codecs ( but be careful with that... donīt install everything it offers)

In any way, anime encoding is "muy exigente";)
when configuring the Xvid codec presets do not choose a bitrate below 870 kbits/s and set the encoding quality to Ultra High in the advanced options.... do two passes at least!!
You can also create an avisynth script file out of the mpeg source on hard disk using Fitcd and then let virtual dub do the job.
This of course requires the avisynth frameserver beeing installed!!
(comes with Nimo)

good luck!!!!
