I am using a AMD 1000 thunderbird sytem with 512 memory and just purchased a NEC 1100 A dvd burner.

Well my problem is whenever I try to burn a video no matter what software I use I get the same problem or error

What happens is everything goes fine until the burner has burned around 250-300 mb to the disk and then it stops and I get a message about Memory dump

It happens no matter if I use Dvd shrink ,Instant copy, nero or whatever. However it does not happen if I am copying large non video files . Everything works fine until I try copying video files .

I would appreciate any comments on the subject.

judging your system specs i'd say your machine should well be able to handle dvd burning.

thus the question is: do you have any additional software/tasks running when burning that might slow down the data flow or even interrupt it?

check/clean up your system if necessary or check your firmware!

Have you tried different brands/quality of media?
