Hey! I have no idea why but when I open VirtualDUB and try to go into the compression dialog box it crashes. Can anyone help me out?

If this is happenning with a "routine" .AVI file (NOT .AC3 sound), you've probably corrupted the program. Try reinstalling VirtualDub.

How do we know if the file uses .AC3 for sound?

Open WMPlayer and open the movie
while playing
File ---> properties ---> advanced
and you should see "AC3 prologic decoder"

where can i find AC3 prologic decoder????Where???
