help??? I cant figure out Gordian Knot 0.28.5

I used to use Smartripper and FlaskMpeg to copy DVDs and compress them but for some reason Flask is not working. I downloaded it over and over but it will not work. I downloaded Gordian Knot 0.28.5 and used it all day. I can get it to rip and DVD but I cant get it to compress that ripped DVD. I have tried to use DVD2AVI to compress it and it does compress it but it separated the audio and video files and I cant get them to be in the same file. Does anyone know how to do that or a better compression tool???

should you be able to select LANCZOS in the newer version of gordianknot: go for it!
