Hi all, i have the following problem: i updated the Hitachi GD7500 DVD player firmware from 0006 to x008 and the result is that it doesn't read DVD anymore! I tried DVD's from different regions (2,3,0) and the player doesn't recognize any disc...but it still recognize CD's...Do you have any tip or suggestion? Maybe i have to reinstall the firmware version 0006? And if so, do you know where i can find the old firmware version?
Thaks a lot,
Valerio

I also have the same drive and firmware. I haven't had the problem you are describing, but I have noticed that DVD playback has decreased slightly in quality.

Where did you download your firmware from?

If you didn't try The firmware page (http://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/) then look there and download the original 008 firmware.

How did you go about doing the flash on your drive?
