Anybody knows a good Preload-Interleave setting
for AC-3 256Kbps Sound?
By the way for 448Kbps the settings that worked (at long last) :smashead: for me after 6 conversions were
Preload 128 Interleave 128. If any1 is using AC-3 sound in his conversions please report to this thread about your succesfull settings so we make this as an AC-3 Poll :-)

I wasn't aware that such a rate existed for .AC3. I've only seen 192, 384, and 448 Kbps.

What was your source for this audio file?

True, true...
I was surprised myself when I saw this bitrate. This is the file exactly:
"The Yards AC3 T01 3_2ch 256Kbps DELAY 0ms.ac3"
I wasn' aware of 256Kbps myself until I ripped this DVD of
"The Yards" (It has only Greek subtitles).
As long as u rip u learn lol that applies for both of us :-)

AC3 192kbit/s => Preload: 80ms Interleave every 80ms.
AC3 384kbit/s => Preload: 160ms Interleave every 160ms.
AC3 448kbit/s => Preload: 128ms Interleave every 128ms.

Just if any1 encounter 256Kbps AC-3 sound
Here is what worked for me
Preload : 128 ms
Interleaving : 1ms
