Hey,

I saw the thread thats about 2 down from this where you say you encode using 3.11 at 6000kbps.

I understand that this will obviously give off a great end result video but what kinda file size do you get when you finish encoding? lik 1.4G?

Hi there SIR, how are you? (I am saying SIR because I like to RESPECT people, I am not using it in a funny way)

I will tell you the answer.

It depends on the content on the video, eg colour and motion etc...

Limp Bizkit Boiler lasts for 4:56 on my machine. So I converted it to DIVX Low motion at 1313 bitrate and 10 k/f and 75crisp with MP3 @128 44100Hz

This file was 52MB with DVD quality results

FAST MOTION!!!!

I used the same settings but bitrate was 6000. File size was 20MB with DVD quality. (The odd block. 9 blocks in total in the whole video!, I just checked)

I am going to put a video clip up which was the world breaking video because of the file size and quality. It is about 12-15MB using fast motion 6000 bitrate.

Destiny's child - Bootilicious

this was done in fast motion, same bitrate and audio and k/f and crisp which came to 30.5MB because of too many colours but you can see there that it is very good size because otherwise it would be too big because of the colours.

All Saints Pure shores ---

I captured it in MPEG 1 using ATI all in wonder pro 128 32MB, it produced the worst possible quality you can ever see but I fixed it by re-encoding it to MPEG2 aot of times and changing the settings every time. I nearly fixed it. I then encoded it to fast motion with same bitrate and size came to: -

12.5MB!!!! < --- This is really suppose to be the world record for DIVX but I didn't enter it because it was a bit blocky due to the original quality.

I have made a pure DVD Quality video MPEG2 which is Limp Bizkit My Way. Size = 72.2MB (MPEG2) It took ages to make quality good. I encoded it in DIVX fast motion and the file size is :-

21.5MB!!! < -- This is good due to the amount of action and colour.

I did the same thing with insomnia by faithless and size came to 15-17MB which was good quality (near DVD because it was captured from ATI!)

I captured a whole hours worth of video. I then did it to DIVX fast motion using these settings:-

15 k/f
75 crisp
6000 bitrate

MP3 audio 44100Hz@128k/bits

size came to: -

459MB!!!!! <--- this is good because of the amount of colours in the video and the motions or scenes!

I'll try to upload a clip of it for you. Please give me your ICQ number if you have one so I could give it to you and possibly have a nice chat?!

Thanks and please DO DO post up any more questions if you need help etc...
