Svcd to Vcd

Sorry for posting same thing over again, but i have searched the forums but havn't found anything that works.

Well i'm trying to convert my svcd file into a vcd file, and i just cant seem to do it. I have downloaded vcdgear, tmpgenc, and isobuster. I have read all the readme's and everything but i always get an error. For instance for isobuster i get the error 5/64/01 which means invalid packet size, and for tmpgenc is too complicated for me, which means i'm a n00b :D .

Anyways i'm just wondering can anybody explain to me with great detail how to convert a svcd into a vcd? Please?

Here's the "quick and dirty" way to accomplish this. Use TMPGEnc as follows:

File>>MPEGTools>>Simple Multiplex

Load your SVCD file

Change mode to "MPEG1-VideoCD"

Enter a new filename in the "Output" box

Press the "Run" radio button

(Do not be concerned about any "Buffer underflow" messages you may see)

Burn (DO NOT ask burning software, such as NERO to CONVERT to VCD, rather merely BURN as a VCD)

i'v done all that you've told me to do, and now this is the problem
when i try to burn it with nero, after analyzing the file it says
"c:thefilename" is not a vaild file for creating a standard video cd v2.0 (cd-i) player disc. A compliant video file requires the following specifications:
mpeg-1 which was encoded for video cd:
audio: 44.1 kHz; stereo; 224 kbit/s
video: 352 x 240 / 29.97 hz or 352 x 240 / 23.976 khz or 352 x 288 / 25hz

the following problems were found:
-invalid video stream: 29.97 frames/second, 480 x 480 pixels

how would u like to continue?

turn off stand compliance and continue


re-encode the video file

cancel

what do i do?? or what did i do wrong?? or what is wrong?

and when i tried to view it with windows media player, i dont see anything but i hear it.

It will only play properly on a standalone DVD player hooked up to a television (and possibly on your PC under a software DVD player such as WinDVD)
