I want to put a powerpoint file on a vcd so that i can play-it on my dvd-player.
i searched the site, but didnt find anything.. is there any software available that can do this?

I'm not aware of any software that would allow for DIRECT conversion from PPS to VCD but, you probably could use Camtasia to capture the Powerpoint Presentation as .AVI - and then use TMPGEnc to convert to VCD.

Cant i just use nero to burn a vcd, instead of going through the avi->vcd conversion myself?
cause i know nero has an option to burn vcd and svcd...

i guess i should say that i want to burn this with a regular cd-rw

Yes, you can - but read all the postings regarding unsatisfactory results - upside down video, audio/video out of synch, etc.
