Codec questions

Can someone point to me a link where I can get codecs (for WMP) to play movies encoded with Windows Media Audio codec, and also movies that have a .mpeg extension?

Have you tried letting WMP to connect to M$ and automaticaly download the appropriate codec?

MPEG-1 is natively supported by Windows. For MPEG-2 files, you can play them in DVD player software, such as PowerDVD or WinDVD.
