still cant view avi's

this is a screenshot of the avi file I load into gspot..But i still cant play it.

Looks like a fake to me. No audio and impossibly low video bitrate (so as to be totally unwatchable).

dammit..why do people do that??? Thanks enchanter!! at least I know now.
I am halfway thru downloading a couple more avi's for him , so I hope they are ok.

I will let you know if others work ok if you like...I dont know what I will do if they dont.

There are indeed people who do this kind of thing (just so that they can download more for having "shared many files with others"). Sorry for being the bearer of bad news to you.
