That's the first thing that comes to mind when you talk about a digital video website. So I want to know two things: 1.) how much bandwidth would you need to support such media and 2.) Where can you find a server who would supply such bandwidth (w/o killing your wallet  )

I might be interested in streaming your video for you. What type of format? What play rate? how many minutes? Approximately how many views per month? How many videos are we talking about? What were they encoded with? What type of content?

In the world of online media delivery, popular solutions include Real Player and Windows Media Player. While effective in broadening the horizons of the ability to view movies converted to the digital world, specifically on the internet, both fall short in a comparison to Flash media delivery.
1. After conversion from video/dvd to digital media, file sizes are significantly larger, taking up more server hard drive space, driving the costs of server storage and delivery (Bandwidth) up to almost 60% higher.
2. Player controls allow for no customization by website owners, and continue to build the relevant companies’ brand
3. While viewing media online with other players, significant wait time is incurred should the user prefer to go back or forward during the movie or clip.
4. Security. Since users computers have access to the other players on their desktop or laptop, movie files can be obtained, shared and played, violating copyright regulations. Since the Flash player can only be used while the user is connected through proper authentication, file sharing is negated.
We offer video conversion advice at www.videospark.com including free players. We offer big bandwidth hosting at www.fatpipehosting.com and are finalizing webmaster tools to handle FLV and Flash MX server settings at www.flashvideostream.com - this will also be low cost Flash MS server hosting - We can be contacted at www.uplinkusa.com
