Is it possible to use mpeg2avi with Divx 4.x?

I was reading through some guides (nicky's pages) and came across his description of mpeg2avi. someone wrote in another forum that mpeg2avi was a lot faster than flask. so i wanted to try it out, but it looks like its hardcoded to support the older divx. i'm going to try it anyway and compare to my results with divx 4.11

But in the meantime, thought i'd ask if anyone has seen a guide on how to use mpeg2avi with divx 4

afaik mpeg2avi will not work with divx4

but to tell you the truth: i've never tried.
use nandub with divx3.x or ms v2 ;) instead.

and of course let us know what your results will be with opendivx and m2a
