Please, if anybody knows, where to get the patch to make my DVD region free, Ill be gratefull, if you could point me in the right direction

There is no region-free firmware but have you tried the utility on this site:

I may have the same DVD ROM as you and I downloaded this program the detects whether making your DVD ROM multi region is a software thing or a hardware thing. It told me that it was a software thing.

If you wanna check yourself the file is called discinfo (I think) and the prgram as well as info on the program can be found at http://www.inmatrix.com If you go into the FAQ section and read through it you should find it. It's only 5KB.
