I have a file divx5.0 w/ frame rate of 23.975 ( instead of 23.976)
and audio divx(wma). When i convert i get an increasing audio
sync.
Do i have to change the frame rate? or just matching the
frame rate and sound in virtualdub ( direct stream copy or full
processing )?
Thanks

"Do i have to change the frame rate? or just matching the frame rate and sound in virtualdub ( direct stream copy or full processing )?"
First try a "Quick" method:
1. Open your divx file in Virtual Dub or VirtualDubMod
2. Select "Video" > "Framerate"
3. Select the radio button for "Change so Video and Audio Durations Match" click OK
4. Go to "File" > "Save as AVI" (F7)

It didn't work. I still have an increased audio sync ( sound is
earlier in the end, it starts ok ) when i convert to dvd.
Isn't it because of the strange frame rate 23.975 and the divx(wma) audio.
Do i have to change frame rate? What can i do?

Based on the audio format used, I'd speculate that it was actually interleaved with the video every 500 milleseconds, rather than every 1 frame.
1) Load the file into the standard VirtualDub
2) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy"
3) From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Interleaving" - and set "Interleave audio every" to 1 frame
4) From the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Full Processing Mode" - Select "Compression" and choose the 96Kbps the MPEG Layer 3 (.MP3), 44,100Hz sampling rate
5) Save with a new filename
