Hi

I have some vob files on my harddrive ripped from a film.
The size of the film is 720x576 (PAL) / 16:9 / Letterboxed

When I use Gordian Knot to create an AVI file I cannot get the
output resolution to be 720x576 I.e a straight rip no resize.

If I use AutoGK to do it for me, I can get a perfect rip but the size is reduced just like Gordian Knot main program to 704x288

which when copied to disk, and played back on my Widescreen tv the picture is very small compared to the original film. ?

Anybody know how I can select an output resolution the same as the original VOB files.?

You know that 720x576 is not 16:9...

To watch it @ the right AR, you have to resize or correct it while playback !!!

Anyway, if you want to use the original resolution...

Select a 1:1 AR in GKnot !!!

So if 720x576 is not 16:9 Widescreen

What is the resolution of 16:9 ?

I will try copying using AR 1:1

Resolution of 16:9 is 720x400 or if you want to do it the proper way 704x384 (i.e count 64 everytime 448-->512-->576-->640 ect..)

Or you could try using 4:3. Even if you did get 720x576 all you would have to do is select the correct aspect ratio in the DivX player and then you would have a 16:9 movie.
