TMPGenc source creator

Hi,

I use tmpgenc source creator to convert xvid files to files i can put into tmpgenc author. Thing is i dont know what settings to use. i can right click on the xvid and it gives me details fo the film, but none of the settings in source creator match the film details.

do i use widescreen or not?
does it mater if i pick PAL or NTSC?
which audio should i pick?
Do both the audios give surround sound?

can anybody help me with this?

PAL or NTSC should be obvious to you depending on geographical area/video standard.
Others should be personal choice. Do you want wide screen output? Do you have a SurroundSound system? AC3 is probably a good default.

it doesnt matter whether the orignal file is ntsc or pal (from the frame rate)?

There is no AC3 option
