Anyone here tried using 12 b-frames?? i used this amount for a 2 hour film that was very blocky, and the result was excellent. Posted my results on the DivX website, did'nt get positive feedback though. All i got was, hmmn, that's not very wise (not exactly) and yet looking at the film i can't honestly see anything the matter with it, in fact it looks better. Same sharpness, no blurriness, same detail. There's just one thing i'd like to know, if this amount is so wrong then why does my film have virtually no blockiness in, and why has'nt the sharpness changed, and the detail??

I trust you meant maximum number of consecutive B-frames. In that case, it means that there will not be necessarily be 12 consecutive B-frames in a given sequence, though it is quite possible.

If you see nothing wrong with it, then what others say to you do not matter (no matter how 'expert' or 'experienced' they may seem). Enjoy your conversions.

Regards.
