I am having trouble with playing an avi file on my notebook even though it runs on the desktop with MP9. GSpot indicates that it is a DivX 3 Low-Motion file but when MP9 tries to download the codec there is a quick error message and then it plays the audio only with a default video display of ambience "water".

Help please in accessing the codec.

Download and install the latest FFDirectShow codec pak.

Thanks Ormonde. Where would I get the FFDirectShow codec pac?
I made a search with Google and only got references to using it and not where to get it. This is a bit academic as I downloaded a free copy of Real Player and it played it OK by getting the codec and then I opened MP9 and it worked as it found the codecon my system, I guess.

I look forward to any firther comments as I want to learn more about these things.
