View Full Version : VCD Freezes After 20 Minutes!!

I am new, but have been relatively successful in creating VCD's.

I am still learning, therefore I use CD-RW's to make my VCD's.

I convert the format with TMPGEnc, and then burn them with Nero.

I'm playing them on our Pioneer Laser Disc/VCD machine.

When they begin, everything is fine, the picture is good and the audio is in sync with the video.

After about 10 minutes, the video is noticably trailing the audio (ie. you heard them talk and a second later their lips move).

After about 15 minutes, funny coloured blocked begin to appear randomly on the screen.

After about 20 minutes, the video freezes, but the audio continues.

Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Hi ryeman66, just a few things to check off hand :)
-is your laser disc/vcd machine CDRW compatible ?
-does the CDRW play all the way through with no problems on your PC ?
-have you tried a CDR on your machine just to make sure its not CDRW's?
-as your probably already know the brand of both CDR and CDRW that you use also may effect playback

let us know how you get on

Cheers

Thanks, for the advice.

I burned the movie with CD-R and everything was perfect.
